Service Description

The CollisionTrace Post-Repair Accuracy Inspection provides an independent evaluation of a vehicle following collision repairs. We examine repaired and adjacent areas for evidence of proper panel fitment, alignment, refinishing, fastener installation, seams and welds, structural measurements where accessible and appropriate, and other indicators of repair quality. When a repair estimate or final invoice is available, documented repairs may also be compared with the vehicle to help determine whether listed operations and replaced components are consistent with what can be observed during the inspection. Significant findings are documented with photographs, measurements, and written observations in a CollisionTrace report. Using specialized inspection techniques and equipment, we evaluate paint and refinishing, body panels, fasteners, seams and welds, panel alignment, structural reference points, and other indicators of previous repair. Paint-thickness measurements, body measurements, diagnostic scanning, and limited-access inspection may be utilized when appropriate. Significant findings are documented with photographs, measurements, and professional observations in a detailed CollisionTrace Report, giving you a clearer understanding of the vehicle’s collision and repair history so you can make a better-informed decision. Best for: Used-vehicle buyers, current vehicle owners, collectors, and anyone seeking an independent assessment of a vehicle’s previous collision and repair history.
